2:30 pm to 4:30 pm
AHSC Plaza
A map showing all poster locations is available to help you pinpoint your location.
Click on ‘View Abstracts” and find your abstract Location # by College or the research category that you submitted. The Location Number is the top of the abstract (and will be different from the abstract number).
We will have a registration desk on the Plaza on the day of the event to help participants and for name badge pick-up. Below please find some additional useful details.
Set Up Time
Participants may begin setting up posters at 12 pm on the date of the event. Posters will be arranged by specific research categories.
Opening Remarks
William Crist, MD, Vice President for Medical Affairs will provide opening remarks to the Poster Forum at 2:30pm. A raffle will be performed during the opening remarks, and every poster submitted to the forum will be included in the drawing. Winners must be present to claim their prize.
Availability
A faculty or student must be available at your poster for the designated time: “even” poster location numbers from 2:30-3:30 pm and “odd” poster location numbers from 3:30-4:30 p.m.
Poster Layout and Presentation
Posters should be "stand alone"; that is, an individual should be able to read the poster and understand the research without the researcher being present to explain it. Participants should feel free to show work previously presented at national meetings.
Poster size and layout should be prepared so that the poster can be easily read at a distance of five feet. Materials should be laid out in a format that logically progresses through a clear description of the research. Posters must not be larger than 4 x 8 feet (either landscape or portrait orientation is acceptable). Presenters will be provided with thumbtacks.
Removal of Posters
Participants will be responsible for removing their posters and discarding all thumbtacks and pins from the poster boards by 5:00 pm. Posters not removed at the conclusion of the Poster Forum will be discarded.
